Made in Canada and Product of Canada are the only labels that guarantee over 50% Canadian content/ value in a product.

All the big grocers seem to be using the same tricks. They are using labels that make the widest possible selection of products they sell look like they are Canadian. a lot of these products have 10% or less Canadian content. You have to read the label on the product to be sure of what you are buying.

@everyone Mark Carney was officially sworn in as the Prime Minister of Canada today, his first move; abolishing the carbon tax. I’m hoping this lowers the cost of gas, and in turn brings grocery prices down.

I am embarrassed to say that this label fooled me and I purchased these strawberries but I still wanted to post about the latest labelling trick out there. Driscoll's has labeled these berries as a product of Mexico but they are packaged in California and USDA approved.
