I am embarrassed to say that this label fooled me and I purchased these strawberries but I still wanted to post about the latest labelling trick out there. Driscoll's has labeled these berries as a product of Mexico but they are packaged in California and USDA approved. Definitely need to be more vigilant in my reading of labels, but heads up everyone. Why are strawberries coming from Mexico, to USA, to Canada? It should cone straight from Mexico. A mistake I will not make again. Look carefully at labels for ALL berries from Driscoll’s! Sneaky devils!

Example of how integrated our economies are and why the 🍊💩’s tariffs are so stupid. He’s only interested in creating chaos and enriching himself and his buddies.

I understand if you feel this way because of the Tangerine Toddler. If this is the reason, not all U.S. citizens voted for him. Those of us that didn’t vote for him are disgusted & angry with our fellow citizens that did. If it’s for other reasons or more than just this, I respect that.

Yeah, I get that, and I don’t mind that they come from Mexico. But, I don’t like that the US had anything to do with, or that they benefit monetarily from the sale of the strawberries.

Because strawberries are a swarm season fruit. It’s warm in Mexico year round so they can produce them even during our winters.

The way things get transported around is confusing. During the colder months, Canada definitely imports a majority of fruit/ veggies

Or, maybe the berries are from Mexico, but packaged in the US?

Only thing I can think of is truckers. Delivering stuff through Mexico into the USA then into Canada. Rather than by plane.
