Just so everyone knows this is a good thing, as it's taxing profits that are being made on Canadians and from business that are taking funds out of the country. This same tax is already law in most EU countries. This is a GOOD thing. || Other countries, including France and the United Kingdom, also have digital service taxes in place. || https://toronto.citynews.ca/2025/06/19/champagne-says-canada-wont-pause-digital-services-tax/

There is no reason to, it's 3%, it's less than most invoice processing charges.

Just hope some of these companies don’t pull out of Canada because of this.

The business, it's a business tax for using data of Canadians for resale, advertising, and more. It's a tax if a business uses Canadians digital data or resources and they are not Canadian based. https://www.canada.ca/en/services/taxes/excise-taxes-duties-and-levies/digital-services-tax.html

Who is paying these taxes, is it the companies offering the services or us? or both?

Pretty much. He'd rather have Hegseth send troops to "speak" for him.
